Pending UFA signing for the Flyers?

According to Flyers’ writer Chuck Gormley, during Monday’s press conference for defenseman Chris Pronger, Pronger’s agent Pat Morris stated he was meeting with Flyers’ General Manager Paul Holmgren over one of his unsigned clients.

Per Gormley…

“Agent Pat Morris told me he would be discussing with Paul Holmgren a possible contract offer for one of his free-agent clients.”

Among Morris’ unsigned clients is Jason Williams, Mike Sillinger, Chris Gratton, Todd Bertuzzi and Maxim Afinogenov.

Gratton and Sillinger could fill the Flyers’ need for defensive third-line face off specialist, but Bertuzzi, Afinogenov and Williams could fill the Flyers’ other possible need of scoring winger.  Either way, expect a decision soon.
