Emery start delayed; Leighton in vs Tampa

After spending over a month on the sidelines recovering from abdomen surgery, Flyers’ goaltender Ray Emery hinted at making an early return between the pipes tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning.  But it wasn’t until early Saturday morning, nine hours before the game, that the Flyers delayed the comeback attempt.

Emery set for early return

Out with a sports hernia that was expected to take six weeks to heal, Flyers’ goaltender Ray Emery is healthy and ready to play, a surprising 11 days early. Emery is expected to make his return on Saturday, against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
