According to The Fourth Period, the Flyers (as expected) have made a deal with backup goalie Brian Boucher for two years, $1.8 million.
Former first round pick by the Flyers in 1995, Boucher played three seasons with the orange and black before becoming a journeyman backup. The 32-year old Rhode Island native played a vital role with San Jose last season, filling in nicely for an injured Evgeni Nabokov. He has a career 2.71 GAA and .900% save percentage.
