Briere upgraded to day-to-day, Nodl recalled, Mclaren back to SJ.

Tim Pannaccio from hockeybuzz.com is reporting that Danny Briere’s injury is not a reaggrevation of his groin, but scar tissue from the surgery breaking up.  He will miss Saturday’s game against the Nashville Predators but should return after that.

Contrary to speculation, not Jared Ross  but Andreas Nodl will make his return to the Flyers.  He will play on the fourth line with Riley Cote and Darroll Powe, while Arron Asham will move to the third line with Daniel Carcillo and Claude Giroux.  Nodl has one goal and three assists in 29 games for the Flyers this season.

The deadline acquisition of veteran defenseman Kyle McLaren was voided today by the Flyers.  McLaren, who is 31, did not pass the physical needed to finalize the move.
