Despite all the rumors swirling about Marty Biron’s future in Philadelphia, one thing is for sure — he will be staying in Philly. The heavy talk surrounding Biron in the past two days is if he would waive his no trade clause to go back to Buffalo. Sabres’ goalie Ryan Miller is down with a severe high ankle sprain and Buffalo is still in the playoff picture. The thought was that the Flyers would send Biron to Phoenix for picks or pending UFA defenseman Derek Morris. The Coyotes would then ship Biron to Buffalo for a forward.
But that tentative and completly speculative plan hit a major snag on deadline day as Buffalo acquired Phoenix backup goalie Mikael Tellqvist for a fourth-round pick.
